The concept of a rebooted faith.

This is a simple question, but it has very complex implications. There can certainly be a number of different meanings for a reboot of faith.

What I am focused on here is the process of stepping away to be alone in the presence of YHWH (Yahweh) your Creator. Have you ever taken yourself to the wilderness, so to speak? The Savior departed from the crowds. He made sure He was alone with The Father.

Thus says Yahweh, Stand you in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way; and walk therein, and you shall find rest for your souls: Jeremiah 6:16 WEB

The problem of noise.

In my many years in the Christian church, I have seen a lot of trends sweep in and out in the culture of the Church.

Pop Culture

One such wave is pop culture. It goes like this. Christian song artists imitate popular rock stars and celebrities. Then Christians (usually the young, but not always) imitate the Christian celebrities. Then there are a variety of layers in this.

And let not your behaviour be like that of this world, but be changed and made new in mind, so that by experience you may have knowledge of the good and pleasing and complete purpose of God. Romans 12:2 BBE

Pop Theology

Yes, there is such a thing.

Disclaimer: I am making no character judgments or bringing out any names here. Stick with me.

We all have our favorite preachers. We might like the one we see every week. But we also grab up a few more on podcasts, Christian TV, and radio. We buy their books and check out their Ted-like talks when we find them on tour. Hey, you might even find some favorite preacher merch.

"we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine," - Ephesians 4:14 NKJV

Pop Causes

Often times the strength of Christians is their ability to band together to vanquish a foe. We often get pummeled in popular media and in the arts (the same ones we copy for the Christian art). We see a cause and lock arms in order to help us lock horns with the "oppressor." We can duck into that cave for shelter from the storm.

There can be more, but these are some of the moves that can become like high school cliques. They are not necessarily a bad thing, but they can become a false crutch for us nonetheless. If you have not been called out from these camps by your loving Abba yet, I would like you to consider that He wants to spend time with you, to walk with you and guide you with His Spirit (Ruach).

One on one with Yah?

"He said, “Go out, and stand on the mountain before Yahweh.”

Behold, Yahweh passed by, and a great and strong wind tore the mountains, and broke in pieces the rocks before Yahweh; but Yahweh was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake; but Yahweh was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake a fire passed; but Yahweh was not in the fire. After the fire, there was a still small voice." I Kings 19:11-12

We have many examples of faith reboot in Scripture. Essentially, we must be rebooted or we cannot see the Kingdom of God. Starting off again is a theme throughout the Word of Elohim.

Adam to Paul to Abram to Josiah. It goes on and on like that.

So this is a quick intro to the idea, the concept that I am celebrating with you. Coming articles and podcasts will be circling around this theme. I pray that you are blessed as much as we have been by experiencing our amazing gracious Savior on a more personal level. Halleluyah!

When was the last time you rebooted? Life? Faith? Job? Relationship? Share in the comments section below. If you are not on the mailing list, I invite you to receive updates delivered directly to you.
